Finch, Anne

Anne Finch was 20 years old when she died in Bath in 1713. She was the only daughter of George (died 1710) and Constance Finch (died 1728), a wealthy merchant family from London who owned Valentine’s Mansion near Ilford in Essex. Little information can be found about her life, other than her baptism at St Olave’s Church, Hart Street, London, but the family wealth is evident from the elaborate memorial to her name. She had five brothers, one of whom (William) shares her ledgerstone (he died in 1735).
